Security and Privacy From the Ground Up

Aspen Digital Life has designed our product from the ground up around privacy and security, not as an afterthought. Our commitment to your privacy and the security of the information entrusted to us is one of our most important core values. Here are some of the steps we take to protect your privacy and ensure your data is secure.

Unlike competitors and other companies, we don’t have a business model built around selling customer data. In fact, we don’t keep any of the personal information you send us.

We use reputable, government compliant providers such as Amazon Web Services for secure authentication and BrainTree (PayPal) to handle all payment processing. Sensitive authentication and payment information never touches our servers.

Before we upload your data, we filter out as much personally identifiable information as we can, usually around 99.9%. Sensitive information such as search history, location information, user names and passwords are never transmitted to the cloud.

We use state-of-the-art encryption technologies, the same used in banking and health care, to protect your data. All of the data that flows through our system is encrypted in flight and at rest, at all times.

Our system is designed for speed and privacy. Once uploaded your data will get its very own instance of our software in the cloud, on demand, and will only reside there for a few seconds. Once the work is completed, the whole server is torn down along with any trace of your information.

We know that human error is one of the most common causes of data breaches and we have taken extreme measures to minimize that risk. Tight security protocols, minimal access levels, and enforced multi-factor authentication help us ensure no one makes a mistake that could affect you.
